Copying package insert text into your laboratory's Operating Procedures

Technical Documents

Importing our package insert information into your operating procedures may be easier than you think. All you need is the full Adobe Acrobat Professional software package. Unlike Acrobat Reader which is normally a free software download, the full package of Acrobat has many more advanced capabilities besides just reading PDFs. With the full Acrobat Professional package, you can also edit and resave PDFs as well as copy and paste sections into other documents such as Microsoft Word.

To ensure you have the full Acrobat Professional as opposed to just Acrobat Reader, please contact your facility's Information Technology department or download directly from Adobe.com.

Even with Acrobat Reader, you can still copy and paste sections of a package insert into another document. Please locate the "Select" tool from the toolbar and then highlight the text you want to copy.

Click here for Adobe's instructions on saving to Microsoft Word. Note that in order to retain graphical layout - you will need version 8. Earlier versions may cause shifting of tables and graphics.
