Long Term Storage of Thermal Paper Printouts
Thermal printers work by heating specially treated thermal paper. They are quiet and virtually maintenance free. But did you know that results printed on thermal paper need special handling?
Here are some suggestions for retaining printed results:
- For storage over long periods of time, photocopy printouts, because the results may fade or become difficult to read.
- When using any type of adhesive tape to secure a printout to a book or worksheet, place the tape on the sides of the printout not directly over the results.
- Keep printouts away from all aerosols, solvents or petroleum products (including highlight markers). These substances can affect the print quality.
By following these few simple guidelines, your thermal printouts will remain clear and easy to read.
