  1. Understand epidemiology, clinical features, and natural history of HBV and HCV perinatal infections
  2. Understand current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for prevention of perinatal and early childhood HBV infections, including recommendations for testing pregnant women and follow-up testing of infants born to infected mothers
  3. Understand current CDC recommendations for prevention of perinatal HCV transmission
  4. Understand diagnostic profiles of HCV infection in infants.
